Bridgwater, by i det sydvestlige England, Somersetshire, ved Parret, 15 km fra dens udløb i Bristol-kanalen, har (1911) 16.802 indbyggere, fabrikation af Bathbricks (pudsesten) af floddyndet, jern- og messingvarer samt betydelig kysthandel med korn, kul, vin, hamp og bygningstømmer. Skibe på indtil 700 ton kan gå op til byen. Byen har en smuk kirke fra 14. århundrede. I Bridgwater er admiral Blake født. Sydøst for byen ligger Sedgemoor, hvor Hertugen af Monmouth blev slået 1685.
